| Percentage Calculator |
If you need to calculate the probability of a
specific layout of one or two suits given the known number of vacant
spaces in each of the opponents' hands, this is a very useful little
tool. It allows great flexibility and with a little intelligent
tweaking can calculate complex combinations of layouts to estimate
the relative benefits of several lines of play. The author,
Richard Pavlicek, has a web site dedicated to Bridge which also has
interesting hands and articles. He is a Bridge teacher based in
Florida and has extensive teaching and study materials based on
Standard American bidding. |
| Alternative percentage calculator |
This is another very useful tool for calculating probabilities and takes a slightly different approach. It is particularly useful in calculating layouts where there are several differently ranked cards missing in a suit e.g. Q J 4 3 2 where you need to calculate the probability of the suit being H x - H x x x for example. |
