§ Q 9 5

There is nothing to the play of this hand.  It is all in the bidding.  6¨ is virtually guaranteed unless clubs are 6-0 or hearts 7-0.

The only bidding sequence I can see which arrives is playing Blue Club:

West                North               East                  South

                        1§1                 1ª                   Pass2

Pass                 2¨3                  Pass                 3¨4

Pass                 3©5                  Pass                 4¨

Pass                 4©6                  Pass                 5§7

Pass                 6¨8                  End

But if West bids 2ª (very possible) it takes away a round of bidding and it becomes far more difficult.

1                    17+

2                    0-5

3                    Five diamonds

4                    Secondary diamond support - ¨Q x x or ¨x x x x

5                    Cue bid

6                    Ditto

7                    Well, if you really want to know I have §Q

8                    Enough

Can anyone think of a sequence not playing Blue Club?
